| Overview: |
Sage is looking for a strong Senior/Principal Biztalk Developer at our location in Lawrenceville, GA to provide leadership, mentoring and technical programming support. This position is part of a team responsible for providing leadership and direction in the development of an integrated solution for our global SAP Landscape with 5000+ users across the North America-wide Sage entities, utilizing SAP R/3, CRM, Business Warehouse, Enterprise Portal, and Microsoft Technologies. Candidate must have over 5 years of development experience in Microsoft Technologies. Any experience with SAP CRM application is highly desirable. Performs routine, complex as well as moderately complex systems analysis and programming activities which may require extensive research. This position is for Developers who have acquired enough prior academic and business experience to assume a technical leadership role in the Organization and independently execute the needs of the business with only broad, high level direction from Sr. Staff. This sometimes requires at least moderate knowledge of the subject matter for the assigned application.

| Responsibilities: |
- Leadership: Developers in this position are expected to display good technical and group leadership skills during the course of delivering a project. Responsibilities include mentoring and guidance of more junior developers as well as deep content expertise in Microsoft Technologies. They must possess a leadership style that is proactive and team oriented, but does not antagonize colleagues and peers. Developers in this position are expected to show good leadership abilities, but may require further development or seasoning to become an established leader accepted by all members of the organization, including peers, subordinates, and supervisors.
- Problem Solving: Developers in this position are expected to be able to solve problems of considerable technical complexity, as well as frequently being able to solve problems in cases where specifications are inexact or incomplete. Developers in this position should be able to identify and implement solutions to problems with a minimum amount of management supervision. They must demonstrate very good analysis, design, and coding skills and their code should be of very high quality able to stand the test of time, without significant rework or revision. Developers in this position should also demonstrate good documentation skills and are expected to clearly communicate their program function as required to perform their duties but may need supervision in some cases.
- Technical competence: Developers in this position should demonstrate excellent broad technical competence in the performance of routine day-to-day job functions. They should be respected while performing these functions by supervisors, subordinates, and peers. They must have good coding skills, and must demonstrate the capability to independently analyze and design complex software solutions. They should not get "lost in the details" when attempting to solve a difficult problem, and should always able to keep the "big picture" in mind when proposing and implementing a solution. They should have advance industry knowledge of Microsoft Technologies.
- Supervision: Developers in this position are expected to be able to perform assigned tasks with a minimum degree of management supervision. They should work well leading small teams in situations which are generally well-defined and unambiguous. They can lead defined activities reliably, and with a minimum of management intervention.
- Initiative: Developers are expected to be proactive in addressing problems and in advancing solutions.
- Results: Developers in this position are expected to deliver high quality results in a manner that consistently meets established standards and expectations for the organization. They are expected to be self-motivated in producing and delivering tangible results to the organization. They should be able to develop and administer schedules for achieving stated goals and objectives with only occasional help or direction from their management or peers.

| Qualifications: |
- 7 plus years experience in software development and delivery
- 5 plus years of strong technical experience in Microsoft Technologies (WCF, BizTalk 2006, XSLT, Visual Studio 2005, C#, XML and SQL Server T-SQL)
- Experience with a PowerShell, BAM, and public key-private key cryptography a plus
- Experience with Enterprise Application Integration and Security
- Candidate should be familiar with Windows operating systems, databases, and highly distributed application software
- Experience in good development methodology, process and tools
- Experience with performance testing, code review and unit testing tools and procedures
- Experience with Software Patterns and industry best practices
- ABAP development experience is a plus
- Process knowledge of SAP CRM is a plus
- A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or related discipline), advanced industry certifications or equivalent work experience and 5-7 years of enterprise software development experience. All people in this position must have significant design, coding, analysis and architecture experience in a commercial software development environment. Prior experience leading small software development teams is helpful but not required.
