Overview:

Note: This is a remote position which can be performed by any qualified candidate living on the Western half of the U. S., as long as they are near a major airport.

   

The National Accounts Director works large sales opportunities outside of the Sage cross-sell effort. The National Accounts Director is responsible for acquiring a minimum of $50,000,000 in processing volume for the first year with a spread of .65% yielding  $325,000 in profit. prospecting/selling credit, debit, check and gift card merchant processing solutions to small/mid market and regionally based businesses.  This will be accomplished by cold calling, networking, working with Sage software resellers and developing a strategic sales prospecting plan to attract small to large volume clients.



Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for achieving business goals and building productive new merchant sales portfolios.
  • Acquire the product and market requirements through product marketing planning tools and communicate back to SPS’s Marketing and Product Management team on a scheduled basis.
  • Create focus, momentum, energy and accountability while enabling achievement and delivering results.
  • Draw upon, lead and coordinate the efforts of SPS resources and specialists in other functional areas including sales, marketing, project management, product development, accounting, compliance, and legal to achieve comprehensive business growth objectives.
  • Protect company proprietary and confidential information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports to the Senior Vice President, Sales
  • No direct reports to this position; sole contributor.


Qualifications:
  • High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Channel and/or partner management, development, or program experience preferred.
  • Business development and/or financial services industry experience a plus -5+ years.
  • Payment, banking, technology and/or financial services industry experience a plus -5+ years.
  • Exemplary sales achievements.
  • Self-motivated and able to work at a high level independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and listens for understanding well.
  • Advanced problem-solving, analysis, and pc office software usage skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Sales of credit card processing and/or payment solutions for business to business and business to government markets.
  • Merchant locations; Account management and development.
  • Coordination and development of specific corporate payment solution campaigns.
  • Preferred experience in development and coordination of GSA Supplier Diversity Acquiring Program.
  • Preferred extensive knowledge of VISA Commerce product; Visa and MC Supplier Enrollment Programs.
  • Preferred experience in Supplier Enrollment Acquiring Program Development.

 

Special Requirements: Travel 35% to 65% of the time.
